Miss Mere!

This little girl has stolen our hearts. She is so good... eats, sleeps, smiles and loves her brothers and cousins. We love her!

Family Fun

It is so good to be home. Blaine and I .... mostly I... miss Florida, but it is so great to be able to drive an hour to be back with the whole family. It's also pretty great living 8 minutes from the Neals! The boys really love all of them and invites himself over whenever he has the chance!

Playing around

On an awesome autumn day, Mindy and I dragged the kids out to the playground. Meredith slept through it all but was happy to tag along!

Casey loved the swing

And Charlie loved hanging with the boys. It turned out to be one of Charlie's favorite days. Mitchell and Peyton helped him build a bigger than life mound of leaves and the wrestling began. Here is the innocent after picture!

Trick and Treats

The boys were lucky enough to have two days of Halloween. Friday night, we went to Meema and Popple's house and hit the streets for candy there. It was funny for me because that is where I used to trick or treat and I think the neighbors have stepped up the candy since I was young. Charlie got huge whole candy bars and other big treats. All was fun, until Blaine and I caught Charlie relieving himself on a neighbor's side yard. Blaine sprinted over just in time to make sure Thomas wasn't completely soaked. I think Charlie took the trick part seriously.
The next day, we rounded up the troops and headed back to NJ to trick or treat with Cam and Shan. It was a rainy miserable day, but, for the kids, the Candy was worth it. No pics of this and no major events, but Cam was the prettiest princess we have seen.

Happy in the Hay

Mom Mom treated us to some fun at the pumpkin patch. It started with a hay ride and ended with pumpkins, cider, and candy. It was a perfect day for picking pumpkins. We were just happy Charlie picked the small one!

Wee World Series

The Phillies may not have won the series, but Blaine and I were lucky enough to have the Hoovers around in NJ for the extended season. Charlie loves playing with Cam and they certainly can rally. PS... girls CAN play ball.

Seeing is believing

So, apparently, Casey has been blind as a bat for the last 13 months of his life and it took us until now to figure that out. After he started crossing his eyes, we took him to my pediatric ophthalmologist (yes, that is the spelling- took me about 5 minutes to figure it out). Dr. Tractman gave Casey a very strong prescription for glasses. I took him to Delaware to have him fitted and Blaine took him back to pick up the glasses while I was hanging out and working with the FL gang below Amazingly, he hasn't taken the glasses off- on purpose. The second the glasses were placed on him, he opened his eyes as wide as he could and took in everything he wished he had seen for the last year of his life. Since then, he started crawling and almost walking. No, he is not yet reading, but we are hoping sometime soon. Hooray for Casey!

Happy hour AND Kids eat free... what could be a better combination??!!

Moving Day!

We weren't sure this day was going to happen but everything went well! Oct. 1st 2009 we moved into our 2nd home. After over a year of bouncing around with 2 kids and a dog, we are so happy to have our very own space.... to mess up. Thanks to all the friends and family who helped. We owe you... or at least Blaine does :)

Beach Boys

Even though it did rain for half of the vacation, we managed to fit in good amount of fun! Casey discovered sand- and ate it willingly. Charlie fell in love with a "NEMO" kite and I don't know who had more fun with it- him or Daddy. Wrigley and Charlie bonded in the car over pizza. Charlie, Joe, Daddy and I hiked the dunes and dodged a rain storm. Brett watched the boys so we could all sleep a little... just trying to break him in :) And Mom Mom and I even got to squeeze in some shopping. The house was beautiful and the crabs were plentiful. Good times at the Outer Banks!

End of Summer Events

JEN is a REYNOLDS! Introducing Mrs Jennifer Reynolds. The prettiest bride in the Lehigh Valley. Susan and I have been waiting for the big day since we met her in Dickinson B in 1997. Scott is perfect and makes her so happy. We had a blast at the wedding and can't wait for Susan's big day!

A home is born! Blaine and I can't wait for the builder to make the finishing touches and are crossing our fingers all turns out well.
